Responsibility
Here, at BRII Studio, we try to be as responsible and sustainable as we can, and we want to be transparent about it. We designed icons and use existing ones, in order to communicate to you what values are present in what products.
At every product, you can find the coherent icons.
Handmade-to-order
These pieces are handmade-to-order. This means when an order is purchased, only then will we start making the pieces. This way there is no overproduction and no need for big warehouses.
Because of this there will be a time period that is needed for production, which is approx. 4 workdays.
Deadstock Materials
These pieces are made from deadstock materials. That means leftover fabric from other companies/designers are used. So many beautiful deadstock materials are just laying in big warehouses and will be disposed of or thrown away on landfills. So why not give them a second chance?
Because there is mostly a small number of meters available or sourced, only a limited number of pieces can be made.
Ethical Production
These pieces are designed and produced in our studio in The Netherlands, by our designer Birgit Winters. If further information is known about the supply chain, it can be found on the product page.
GOTS Certified Organic Cotton
The 'Global Organic Textile Standard' dedicates its work to set a certain standard within the supply chain for both ecological and labour conditions in textile and apparel manufacturing using organically produced raw materials. Organic production is based on a system of farming that maintains and restores soil fertility without the use of toxic, persistent pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. It also includes welfare standards for animal agriculture and bans genetically modified organisms.
This page is constantly updated as we thrive to reduce our ecological footprint and improve the production chain.
